RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking a Systems Engineering Analyst Product Management.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze end-to-end business processes, customer journeys, workflows, and technology ecosystems
* Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for automation, simplification, standardization, and optimization
* Facilitate discovery sessions, process reviews, and stakeholder workshops to elicit and validate requirements
* Conduct current-to-future-state gap analyses across business needs, system capabilities, workflows, and solutions
* Challenge assumptions to uncover missing requirements, business rules, dependencies, constraints, risks, exceptions, and edge cases
* Partner with Business Product Owners to refine, decompose, and translate business needs into clear, testable, implementation-ready system, data, and reporting requirements
* Document processes, workflows, use cases, requirements, and specifications, maintaining traceability through delivery
* Apply systems engineering principles to analyze applications, APIs, databases, integrations, workflows, and data flows
* Evaluate solutions against existing capabilities, identifying gaps, dependencies, and impacts across processes, systems, data, integrations, and platforms
* Partner with architects and engineers to define scalable, secure, maintainable, and supportable solutions
* Document system interactions, integrations, data flows, business rules, decision points, exceptions, dependencies, and operational impacts
* Address performance, scalability, availability, security, auditability, supportability, and compliance
* Evaluate alternatives based on business value, feasibility, architectural alignment, risks, and constraints
* Develop epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and process flows supporting development, testing, deployment, and delivery
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 7+ years of experience in Technical Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Management, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines
* Proven experience translating business requirements into technical requirements, including system requirements, process flows, data flows, and solution specifications
* Experience working directly with Business Product Owners and engineering teams
* Demonstrated experience facilitating discovery, requirements elicitation, process analysis, and solution definition activities
* Experience performing business process, capability, systems, and requirements gap analyses
* Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
* SAFe, Scrum, CBAP, PMI-PBA, Product Management, Systems Engineering, or related certifications preferred
* Experience in large-scale enterprise technology environments
* Knowledge of enterprise business architecture and business capability modeling
* Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
* Understanding of APIs, integrations, microservices, databases, and enterprise systems architecture
* Experience developing process models, workflow diagrams, system interaction diagrams, and solution documentation
* Familiarity with BPMN, UML, process engineering, and systems analysis methodologies
* Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
* Experience supporting transformation, modernization, automation, or digital initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
