Job Description
We are seeking a Core Engineering - Sourcing Manager V to join our team supporting a global network of vendors who supply human-annotated data for AI research and product development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in outsourcing and strategic sourcing, vendor onboarding and contracting, and program management and a proven ability to negotiate complex contracts, manage supplier performance, and drive compliant, high-value programs from selection through launch.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to execute sourcing and vendor management for GenAI data annotation and collection vendors.
- Lead contract negotiations that optimize value across commercial and service levers.
- Manage vendor performance, governance, and compliance in collaboration with the business.
- Provide market intelligence and sourcing updates to leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree.
- 4+ years of outsourcing or strategic sourcing experience, ideally in technology or AI domains.
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills beyond rates, including volume discounts, quality thresholds, speed to quality, and service levels.
- Program management experience with business stakeholders, cross-functional groups, and third parties.
- Highly organized, structured thinker able to synthesize complex information into executive-ready summaries.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience sourcing annotations for ML/AI or large language model development.
- Experience managing high-volume data annotation sourcing programs.
- Experience working with BPOs, crowdsource/freelance platforms, and boutique data vendors.
- Ability to break down vendor cost models and understand ROI drivers.
