**General Summary/Overview**



An opportunity to work with senior leaders and teams across a major healthcare system, leading complex and strategic contracting work in support of outstanding medical care and world-class research.



Reporting to a Corporate Manager within Strategic Supply Chain, the Senior Contracts Manager manages enterprise-wide agreements and helps shape category, supplier and portfolio strategies. This individual provides advanced cost negotiation, risk mitigation, supplier selection and supplier management expertise, and leads initiatives that increase savings, contract participation and operational effectiveness.



This position is remote, with travel to organizational sites as needed.



**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**



- Negotiate and manage complex hospital and enterprise-wide supplier agreements, ensuring timely completion, accurate terms and market-competitive rates.



- Create, prepare, review, redline, edit and negotiate complex contracts.



- Lead risk mitigation, market analysis, RFP evaluation, supplier selection, contract negotiation and execution.



- Develop category, supplier, portfolio, contract and savings strategies aligned with organizational objectives.



- Deliver savings, risk mitigation and operational efficiencies through strategic sourcing and contract negotiations.



- Provide contracting support and analysis related to operating or capital impact, solution functionality and comparable products or services.



- Identify and lead organizational change initiatives within the department and across the organization.



- Resolve problems, delays and evaluation concerns.



- Lead committees and serve as a liaison for stakeholders requiring Supply Chain assistance.



- Collaborate with senior leaders, business owners, Finance, IT, Legal, Compliance, suppliers and other contracting teams.



- Provide advice, mentorship and subject-matter expertise to contracting teams and stakeholders.



- Assist management in developing team goals, objectives and overall strategic direction.



- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, consolidate suppliers, lower costs and improve operational efficiency.



- Analyze contract and supplier performance and implement improvements.



- Maintain current knowledge of market, technology and industry best practices.



- Lead formal and informal meetings and present recommendations to diverse stakeholders.



- Participate in procurement-related committees and special projects.



- Perform other duties as assigned.



**Qualifications**



- 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commercial contracting or contract management.



- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience; master's degree preferred.



- Advanced understanding of contractual language addressing risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.



- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and sourcing, complex contract negotiations, cost savings, supplier management and customer relations.



- Proven ability to identify and lead critical initiatives and organizational change.



- Experience managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.



- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting deadlines.



- Advanced proficiency with common software applications, contract lifecycle management systems, ERP systems, analytics and emerging technologies.



- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.



- Ability to work independently with accountability while collaborating effectively.



- Strong creative problem-solving skills.
