Location: McLean, Virginia (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to design and develop enhancements to software applications on a DataStage ETL platform. As a member of the IT development team, you will implement software changes and address data-related issues. You will also champion technology and tool changes that improve delivery processes and work collaboratively with a dedicated agile team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop effective solutions for new and existing data reporting requirements and data issues, primarily using DataStage.
- Perform root cause analysis and address existing issues.
- Identify gaps in existing processes, continuously improve procedures, and automate manual tasks to provide application stability.
- Participate in the analysis of agile user stories and develop solutions based on business requirements and architecture.
- Perform analysis and make code changes to DataStage ETL and Unix jobs.
- Support applications in production.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent working experience, is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in DataStage (preferably version 11.7 or newer), UNIX, shell scripting, Control-M, and SQL (db2/Sybase/Oracle) is necessary. Experience with Jira and Bitbucket is also required. Strong analytical and development skills are essential to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience in Java, SAS, and Control-M.
- Experience working on agile teams.
- Experience in the Mortgage Industry.
