Description
We are looking for an accomplished infrastructure leader to guide enterprise technology operations for our client in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role will shape the direction of core systems, security, cloud, and operational performance while leading a high-performing technical team. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic judgment, hands-on knowledge of modern infrastructure environments, and a proven ability to align IT services with business goals. Responsibilities:
Lead the overall strategy, performance, and day-to-day oversight of infrastructure services spanning servers, storage, cloud platforms, and core IT operations.
Direct and develop technical teams, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and long-term roadmaps that support organizational objectives.
Strengthen service reliability, system availability, and operational efficiency by tracking key metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee infrastructure budgeting, evaluate investment options, and prepare financial analyses to support technology and business decisions.
Manage vendor and contract relationships across outsourced services and third-party technology providers to ensure quality, value, and accountability.
Guide the administration of enterprise platforms and tools, including Microsoft technologies, directory services, networking, and backup environments.
Champion resiliency planning by maintaining and improving disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities across critical systems.
Partner with leadership and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable infrastructure plans and executable IT strategies.
Requirements
10+ years of experience across operating systems, security, infrastructure administration, and IT process management.
5-8 years of progressive leadership experience managing teams responsible for servers, storage, and cloud services.
Demonstrated success building and executing infrastructure strategies, departmental plans, and multi-year technology roadmaps.
Experience managing budgets and producing cost-benefit evaluations for technology initiatives and operational investments.
Strong background improving performance, uptime, cost control, and other measurable IT service indicators.
Experience overseeing contracts, outsourced service models, and vendor partnerships involving software and technology providers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft ecosystems, Active Directory, networking, backup technologies, server environments, and disaster recovery practices.
Relevant infrastructure or IT leadership certifications are preferred.
