Azure Systems Administrator
Location: Minneapolis, MN (3 days onsite, 2 days Remote)
Type: Contract-to-Hire, W2, no C2C, 1099, or 3 Parties at this time
Compensation: $85,000-$100,000 upon conversion
Contract Rate: $40-$48/hr W2, no C2C, 1099 or 3 Parties at this time
Overview
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Azure Systems Administrator to support and maintain a Microsoft-focused infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of systems administration experience and hands-on exposure to Azure, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server technologies.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, and user access.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Support Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, and Windows Server environments.
- Provision and manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups.
- Troubleshoot server, cloud, network, and endpoint issues.
- Assist with system upgrades, patching, backups, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and respond to system alerts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Support infrastructure projects and cloud initiatives.
- Utilize PowerShell for basic administration and automation tasks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of Systems Administration experience.
- 1-3 years of Azure administration experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Windows Server.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with user administration and Group Policy.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-service mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Azure AZ-104 certification.
- Microsoft Intune experience.
- VMware or Hyper-V exposure.
- Microsoft Defender and security administration experience.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
