Overview

A Global Investment Management firm seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Risk Technology organization. As part of the team responsible for a firm\'s risk and analytics platform, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and evolving systems that support front-office risk management across multiple asset classes.
\\n
You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, quantitative developers, and fellow engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance analytics solutions. This role is ideal for a senior individual contributor who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building robust platforms, and directly influencing risk infrastructure through hands-on development and technical leadership.

This position is expected to be heavily hands-on, with the majority of time spent designing, developing, and supporting production systems.

Existing Technology Stack

\\n - Homegrown analytics platform providing end-to-end risk and analytics solutions
\\n - Core platform predominantly developed in-house
\\n - Significant C#/.NET Core codebase running on Linux
\\n - Apache Spark distributed computing environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
\\n - Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployment framework
\\n - Python for data analytics, quantitative workflows, and machine learning applications

Responsibilities
\\n
Software Engineering
\\n
\\n - Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain core risk analytics and risk infrastructure components.
\\n - Develop scalable services supporting valuation, risk calculation, market data processing, and portfolio analytics.
\\n - Write clean, maintainable, high-performance production code.
\\n - Participate in architectural discussions and help define technical direction for key platform initiatives.
\\n - Drive technical excellence through code reviews, testing, automation, and engineering best practices.
\\n - Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems.
\\n - Continuously improve platform performance, resiliency, scalability, and observability.

Technical Leadership
\\n
\\n - Serve as a senior technical contributor and subject matter expert within the Risk Technology team.
\\n - Partner closely with quantitative developers to productionize analytical models and frameworks.
\\n - Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
\\n - Influence architectural decisions and engineering standards across the organization.
\\n - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
