Summary:
The Technology Integration Engineer, L1 acts as the primary customer contact for DICOM and VPN technology implementation. All aspects of technology implementation are coordinated or performed by the Technology Integration Engineer. This begins by supporting the Solutions Development team in the pre-implementation phase (as necessary), follows through into the actual technical implementation, and ends with a clean hand-off to the Technical Support team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Work with the Solutions Development team and/or Technology Implementation Manager to gain understanding of the needs and capabilities of the customer for which we're providing a technical solution.
o Coordinate or build VPN tunnels with clients to allow secure transmission of patient information from our clients' facilities to vRad.
o Coordinate and assist with the configuration and testing of client DICOM sending devices to allow for transmission of DICOM image data to vRad.
o Create documentation for the Technical Support team for each solution, to allow for a clean and effective post-implementation hand-off.
o Other technical implementation duties, as needed
o Coordinate or implement HL7 or other electronic interfaces using vRad's Rhapsody interface engine.
o Assist Engineering with implementation-related tasks as requested
o Assist Sales, Marketing, and Solutions Development with implementation-related tasks as requested
o Travel may be required on an as-needed basis to client sites or to vRad's corporate office
Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems/MIS, computer science, business or related field
Minimum 2 years experience in implementing or supporting a technical integration environment
Understanding of application, data, and systems integration
Strong interpersonal skills for communication with IT leadership and functional business teams
Understanding of DICOM and HL7 standards
