Senior Civil/Structural Engineering Technical LeaderWhere You Will WorkOur office is located in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, Louisiana. Employees in New Orleans primarily follow a hybrid schedule that includes working in the office, attending in-person meetings and training sessions, and collaborating virtually.
New Orleans is a popular tourist destination known for its rich history, architecture, cultural arts, music, and cuisine. Many hotels, galleries, restaurants, and museums are within walking distance of the office.

What You Will Do- Serve as a technical leader by providing guidance, expertise, and mentorship for engineering projects, technical challenges, and programs.
- Define and drive engineering best practices while facilitating technical knowledge sharing across teams.
- Apply subject matter expertise to improve project outcomes and support complex engineering initiatives.
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and sound judgment in planning and guiding programs and projects.
- Interpret engineering theory and practice for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Recommend solutions based on technical expertise and engineering analysis.
- Lead, review, investigate, and develop recommendations for engineering projects and technical challenges across disciplines.
- Align engineering efforts with organizational goals and contribute to long-term technical strategies.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences to influence strategy and execution.
- Solve complex engineering problems and demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency.
- Stay informed of industry trends and recommend new methodologies and practices.
- Collaborate with project and site management teams to ensure standards are met and continuous improvements are implemented.
- Promote innovation and evaluate opportunities for operational and technical improvement.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation initiatives.
- Mentor and motivate engineering talent across multiple disciplines.

What You BringEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and
10 years of related experienceORMaster's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and
8 years of related experienceORPhD in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and
6 years of related experienceRequired Qualifications- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of occupational hazards and safety practices
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

- 3D models
- Steel and concrete drawings
- Connection details
- Engineering calculations

- Experience developing or contributing to:
- Project scopes
- P6 schedules
- Budgets
- Staffing plans
- Cost estimates
- Expertise in 3D structural analysis software, including interpreting results and developing design recommendations
- Expertise in structural design for high-seismic environments
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to draw sound conclusions from complex information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style based on audience
- Experience in a capital project design office environment
- Experience supporting mining and metallurgical process facilities
- Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Compensation & BenefitsCompensation- Estimated annual base salary range: $140,000 - $180,000
