Job Title: Senior Physical Security Project Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, technical, and safety-conscious Senior Physical Security Project Manager to oversee the planning and end-to-end execution of physical security system projects. In this role, you will manage complex infrastructure deployments-including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, and low-voltage support networks-while adhering to structured PMO standards, templates, and governance frameworks.
This is a dynamic, field-facing project management role for a professional who bridges technical security architecture and construction site operations. You will conduct site assessments, manage subcontractors and equipment procurement, ensure rigorous quality control, and maintain transparent communications with cross-functional business partners. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Project Lifecycle Management: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations utilizing approved PMO methodologies and templates.
Site Assessments & Design Validation: Conduct on-site evaluations to validate design requirements, architectural drawing specifications, installation conditions, and environmental risk factors.
System Integration Coordination: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of access control platforms, CCTV networks, alarm systems, intercoms, and associated low-voltage infrastructure.
Subcontractor & Vendor Oversight: Manage third-party contractors, integrators, and technicians to ensure strict adherence to scope, quality standards, and milestone delivery dates.
Quality Control, Safety & Financial Governance
Field Leadership & Safety: Lead on-site operations with an unwavering commitment to safety compliance (OSHA standards, PPE usage, and job walk protocols), quality workmanship, and efficient trade sequencing.
Budget & Cost Tracking: Monitor project budgets, labor hours, and material expenditures; identify scope variances and prepare formal change order documentation.
Risk & Issue Management: Maintain active risk and issue logs, proactively mitigating project bottlenecks through structured problem-solving and technical troubleshooting.
Documentation Standards: Ensure all project deliverables-including blueprints, as-built drawings, change orders, progress reports, and closeout packages-are accurately maintained and archived.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of relevant field experience and training).
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience managing physical security infrastructure or low-voltage installation projects.
Technical Mastery:
oStrong working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security hardware/software (e.g., AMAG, Software House, Genetec, Avigilon).
oProven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
oProficiency with enterprise project management tools, scheduling software, and PMO documentation practices.
Core Competencies: Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to active job sites; strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-facing problem-solving skills.
Preferred Attributes
Industry professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PSP, CPP) or manufacturer-specific integration credentials.
Direct background working with general contractors, commercial integrators, or enterprise corporate security teams.
Hands-on foundation in electrical systems, low-voltage trades, or field construction sequencing.
