We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects, where innovation and creativity are highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a specific focus on 3D CAD, Solidworks, Creo, DFM, FEA, structural analysis, tolerance stack-up, AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, CAD drafting, Design for Manufacturing, and plastics. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in developing and improving our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
2. Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
3. Conduct product testing and create models and prototypes.
4. Oversee the work of junior engineers and provide them with professional guidance.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.
6. Conduct complex technical studies and analysis, and produce reports.
7. Apply expert knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
8. Utilize 3D CAD, Solidworks, Creo, and other relevant software for product design and analysis.
9. Perform tolerance stack-up analysis for complex assemblies.
10. Ensure all designed products adhere to company standards and meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in 3D CAD, Solidworks, Creo, DFM, FEA, structural analysis, tolerance stack-up, AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, CAD drafting, and Design for Manufacturing.
4. Extensive knowledge of plastics and their applications in product design.
5. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product development.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Exceptional communication and team management skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
10. Proven track record of innovative design and product improvement.
