Description: About the Role We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to support advanced R&D programs involving ASIC and FPGA development. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, simulation, verification, integration, and testing of high-speed digital systems, DSP solutions, communication interfaces, and System-on-Chip (SoC) implementations. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and offers the opportunity to influence next-generation technology development.
Key Responsibilities - Design and develop FPGA-based solutions for complex digital systems.
- Implement and verify DSP algorithms, high-speed digital designs, and communication interfaces.
- Develop and integrate SoC architectures on FPGA platforms.
- Perform design simulation, verification, validation, and debugging activities.
- Support integration and testing of high-speed hardware systems.
- Create and maintain automation tools and scripts to improve FPGA development workflows.
- Work with embedded processors and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) control platforms.
- Collaborate with systems, RF, analog, digital hardware, and ASIC engineering teams.
- Utilize version control and configuration management best practices.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and laboratory validation activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, design optimization, and product development initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA design and development.
- Experience with FPGA toolchains such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and/or Synopsys Synplify.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog.
- Experience with HDL simulation tools, waveform viewers, and coverage analysis tools.
- Knowledge of FPGA verification methodologies.
- Experience with hardware debugging and laboratory test environments.
- Familiarity with version control systems and configuration management practices.
- Experience supporting integration and testing of complex digital systems.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications - Experience with ASIC development environments.
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design and implementation experience.
- Experience with high-speed networking or communication protocols.
- Knowledge of embedded processors on FPGA platforms.
- Experience with COTS control systems.
- Scripting and automation experience for FPGA development flows.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments.
- Prior experience mentoring junior engineers.
