An experienced Data Transformation Engineer is sought to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale data integration and transformation solutions. The role involves migrating, optimizing, and supporting critical data processing workloads while ensuring scalability, resiliency, performance, and data integrity. This position will handle a mix of a 2026 program and an end-of-life technology migration program involving IBM CloudPak for Data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data integration and transformation solutions.
- Migrate, optimize, and support critical data processing workloads.
- Ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, and data integrity.
- Utilize IBM CloudPak for Data (CP4D) v4.5 and IBM DataStage.
- Work with Oracle and DB2 database platforms.
- Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Contribute to data modeling and support large-scale batch processing environments.
- Conduct troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data validation.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Integration.
- Expertise in IBM DataStage development.
- Hands-on experience with IBM CloudPak for Data (CP4D) Version 4.5.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
- Experience with Oracle and DB2 database platforms.
- Background in data transformation and data engineering.
- Experience with data modeling.
- Experience designing and supporting large-scale batch processing environments.
- Troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data validation skills.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cockroach or MemSQL.
- Experience with Python-based scripting.
- Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate.
- Familiarity with CDC (Change Data Capture) technologies.
- Experience in a fast-paced Agile Development Environment.
- Experience with Cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience supporting mission-critical financial or enterprise data platforms.
- Knowledge of data governance, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
- Exposure to Git-Hub Co-pilot.
