In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact. This role involves reviewing and analyzing large-scale software engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. You will contribute to resolving complex situations by applying a solid understanding of function, policies, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
- Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger-scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges.
- Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, and procedures.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel to meet deliverables.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java with Spring / Spring Boot.
- Utilize Python for backend or data-driven development tasks.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and process data streams with Flink.
- Manage data using both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS) databases.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills:- 4+ years of Java experience, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot.
- 2+ years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development.
- Understanding of Reactive Programming, including WebFlux.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines.
- Database expertise with both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS).
- 2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies.
- Exposure to LLMs (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks.
