Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Scrum Master to support a Credit Services organization within the banking and financial services sector. This role requires a strong ownership mentality to lead delivery efforts across multiple teams, drive Agile best practices, and serve as a liaison across business and technology groups. This individual will guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices to delight customers and foster a self-organizing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Agile delivery for two cross-functional teams, each with approximately 8-10 members.
- Drive sprint ceremonies and Scrum processes while ensuring timely delivery of platform-level initiatives.
- Act as a liaison across Engineering, Operations, Product, and other stakeholders to align on priorities and deliverables.
- Foster collaboration and accountability across teams.
- Support platform delivery efforts without direct involvement in coding or software development.
- Coordinate with Engineering teams and assist in removing blockers to delivery.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or judgment.
- Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, particularly with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services, preferably within Credit Services.
- Proven ability to proactively own deliverables and drive outcomes.
- Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to manage and analyze large data sets.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, and conflict resolution.
AI & Emerging Technology Focus
- Demonstrate a general understanding of AI concepts and use cases.
- Familiarity with ChatGPT, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and process automation.
- Interest in learning and integrating AI into Agile delivery processes.
- Ability to discuss practical AI applications at an industry level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise-wide automation platforms and AI-driven process improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to technology-focused banking environments.
