Senior Cloud Engineer - Observability Platform (Onsite, Providence, RI Area) W2 Only
Required Skills:- 5+ years of experience supporting distributed, multi-tiered cloud systems at scale.
- Deep understanding of telemetry architecture, observability pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Expertise building and supporting observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or ELK as a platform engineer rather than only dashboard usage.
- Hands-on experience with open-source observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Expertise in containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
- Strong knowledge of AWS platform components (EC2, EKS) and cloud infrastructure deployment.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, load balancers, Linux).
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience modifying and enhancing observability agents.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with logging, metrics, tracing frameworks, and data models.
- Background in delivering AI/LLM features, safety, or guardrails.
- Familiarity with modern AI coding tools for automation and validation.
Preferred Education and Experience:- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years leading projects in cloud or distributed systems environments, with proven troubleshooting capabilities.
