The Opportunity: CACI has an immediate opening for an Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Undersea Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.
Responsibilities: - Develop modernization plans/changes for the US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems
- Perform mechanical, electrical and/or structural analysis
- Evaluate components and materials and systems to ensure system integration, compatibility and stability
- Some travel will be required
- Work will be in support of US Navy Submarines, Submersibles or Deep Submergence projects
Qualifications:Required:
- Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
- Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.
- Experience with configuration management and document control
- Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment
- Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance
Desired:
- Prior experience specifically with US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems.
- Familiarity with Scope of Certification (P9290/Man-010) requirements
- Electrical power background (NSTM 300)
- Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
- Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
- Experience with MS Office suite of products

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$53,100-$106,300
