Position Overview

We are seeking a Risk Management Analyst to support insurance, claims administration, billing, and risk management activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, insurance brokers, third-party administrators, and leadership while helping improve risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage claims activities, including approvals, denials, releases, and related documentation.
Prepare claims requiring management review and additional authority.
Monitor third-party administrator performance, claim trends, open issues, and service levels.
Support insurance billing, including premium invoicing, reconciliation, payment tracking, and allocation.
Develop knowledge of commercial insurance programs, including property, auto liability, railroad liability, and medical malpractice.
Explain insurance coverage and requirements to internal teams and business units.
Review RFPs, scopes of work, and procurement documents to determine appropriate insurance requirements.
Maintain accurate claims, policy, billing, and risk management records.
Coordinate communications with insurance brokers, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor and respond to Risk Management inquiries and shared inbox requests.
Support annual insurance renewals by gathering underwriting and exposure information.
Assist with risk management process improvements, strategic initiatives, and special projects.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in insurance, claims, risk management, or a related field.
Working knowledge of claims handling and commercial insurance coverage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience handling documentation, billing, records, and multiple priorities.
Ability to understand and follow established processes, procedures, and authority limits.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
