Solution IT Inc. is looking for Infrastructure Architect (Private & Hybrid Cloud) for one of its clients in Remote
- Works closely with more senior architects and potentially project management to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered.
- Analyzes current architectures to identify technical debt, capability gaps, integration challenges, and opportunities for modernization and standardization.
- Keeps technology and service managers aware of key customer issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, such as containers, infrastructure automation, and hosting to support platform strategy and modernization initiatives.
- Identifies approved infrastructure platforms, services, tools, and patterns appropriate for hosting solutions.
- May request exceptions to enterprise toolset. Assists in developing business cases. Supports change management initiatives.
- Collaborates with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or a related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of four to seven (4-7) years of experience in multiple IT areas with at least two to four (2-4) years of relevant domain experience (data, network, application, systems, etc.).
- Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, system engineering and integration.
- Proficient communication skills and experience in mentoring/leading teams
- Ability to translate complicated business requirements into multiple solution options and explain the pros/cons of various approaches.
Work Site: Remote (CST or EST Time Zone preferred)
