- Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using .NET 8 (C#) or Python (FastAPI).
- Contribute to dashboards, monitoring interfaces, alerts, and software update tracking capabilities.
- Participate in developing and maintaining instrument-facing applications (applets).
- Support communication between diagnostic instruments and cloud services using MQTT, AMQP, and REST protocols.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established development standards.
2. Cloud, DevOps & Release Engineering
- Assist in building, testing, and maintaining application deployment packages and software installers.
- Work with MSI/NSIS installers, Docker, and automated build processes.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Gain hands-on exposure to AWS services, including ECS Fargate, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.
- Assist with application deployment, release validation, and troubleshooting.
3. Software Testing & Laboratory Validation
- Test application and instrument applet enhancements on physical diagnostic instruments in a laboratory environment.
- Validate software changes developed by other team members on actual hardware.
- Execute documented test cases and perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and report software defects.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel and field-service experts to understand instrument functionality and operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate, traceable test documentation in alignment with applicable medical software development practices, including IEC 62304.
4. Automated Testing & Quality Engineering
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated test cases.
- Support software quality assurance and regression testing activities.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
- Follow established quality, security, and software development processes.
5. AI-Assisted Software Engineering
- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Validate AI-generated code and ensure its accuracy, quality, and security.
- Gradually develop capabilities in AI agents, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Explore AI-based solutions for accessing technical documentation, instrument manuals, and troubleshooting knowledge.
