Position Overview
MediaRadar is looking for a Kubernetes/AWS SME to help build, support, and optimize a production-grade Kubernetes platform. The existing platform has a proven AKS MVP, and the team is transitioning new feature development toward AWS/EKS.
The ideal candidate should be strong in Kubernetes, AWS/EKS, GitOps, and production platform reliability, with experience supporting highly available environments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience.
- Strong AWS/EKS experience; Azure/AKS experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting production Kubernetes platforms with High Availability (HA).
- Experience with Amazon EKS / Azure AKS managed clusters.
- Strong ArgoCD / GitOps experience.
- Experience with ECR / ACR container registries.
- Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps/Git.
- Experience deploying and managing microservices, batch/data workloads, and ML/AI workloads on Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, scalability, reliability, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working across multi-cluster and multi-region environments.
- OPA (Open Policy Agent) experience is a plus.
Environment:
- AWS: EKS – 2 clusters per region, initially supporting 2 regions.
- Azure: AKS – 4 existing clusters, with older clusters being migrated to the new platform.
- GitOps: ArgoCD.
- Container Registries: AWS ECR / Azure ACR.
- Source Control: GitHub / Azure Git.
- Workloads include microservices, batch/data processing, and ML/AI matching workloads.
Key Focus:
The main focus is production support, HA, reliability, optimization, and expanding the existing Kubernetes platform into AWS/EKS. This is not a greenfield build—the core platform already exists, so the candidate should be comfortable polishing, stabilizing, scaling, and supporting an established platform.
Ideal Candidate:
A Senior Kubernetes/Cloud Engineer, Kubernetes SME, Platform Engineer, or DevOps Engineer with strong AWS/EKS + Kubernetes + ArgoCD experience and proven production-level platform support experience.
