RH OpenShift Container Platform 4 - Platform Deployment Senior Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4 Senior Consultant to lead the design, deployment, configuration, and implementation of enterprise-grade OpenShift Container Platform environments. The consultant will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to deploy highly available, secure, and scalable OpenShift platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with OpenShift 4.x, Kubernetes, Linux, container technologies, networking, storage, automation, and enterprise platform deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.x clusters in enterprise environments.
- Perform end-to-end OpenShift installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and platform lifecycle management.
- Deploy OpenShift using IPI, UPI, and assisted installation methodologies where applicable.
- Configure and troubleshoot OpenShift control plane, worker nodes, operators, networking, storage, and cluster services.
- Implement highly available and production-ready OpenShift environments.
- Configure OpenShift networking, including OVN-Kubernetes, routes, ingress, load balancing, DNS, and network policies.
- Integrate OpenShift with enterprise LDAP/Active Directory, identity providers, certificates, monitoring, logging, and security solutions.
- Configure persistent storage using enterprise storage platforms and CSI-based solutions.
- Implement and manage RBAC, Security Context Constraints (SCC), service accounts, secrets, and security policies.
- Work with OpenShift Operators and Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) to deploy and manage platform components.
- Automate infrastructure and platform deployment using Ansible, Terraform, Git, Bash, and/or Python.
- Troubleshoot complex OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage, and container-related issues.
- Perform cluster health checks, capacity planning, performance optimization, and production readiness assessments.
- Develop technical documentation, deployment procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to onboard workloads and establish deployment standards.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps integrations involving tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Argo CD, Tekton, and OpenShift Pipelines.
- Participate in platform migrations, upgrades, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and consultants.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Linux, infrastructure, Kubernetes, container platforms, or cloud technologies.
- 4+ years of hands-on OpenShift experience, preferably OCP 4.x.
- Proven experience leading enterprise OpenShift deployments and complex platform implementation projects.
- Strong consulting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
