PBI Skillsets

1.            Power BI Service end-user fluency: Able to distinguish sharing issues, RLS issues, and no data as different symptoms, and to tell wrong tenant apart from actually lost access.

2.            Basic identity/tenant literacy: Enough to explain guest-account behavior and sign-in prompts to a user who experiences issues, without needing admin-level access to fix anything.

3.            Triage and ticketing discipline: Follows a structured symptom-to-response script consistently, and logs tickets in a way that lets patterns surface later.

4.            Basic Power Automate awareness: This is a nice to have. Recognizes a broken flow as its own category, without needing to build or debug flows.

5.            Excellent communication skills: Sets expectations clearly during a high-volume, urgent support window.

6.            Clear escalation judgment: Knows when to hand off to a Power BI admin, identity admin, or report/flow owner.

Power Platform skillsets

1.            Power Platform expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse

2.            Copilot Studio: Experience building or supporting copilots and conversational AI solutions.

3.            App and workflow troubleshooting: Able to troubleshoot common app issues, failed flows, connectors, permissions, and data-related problems.

4.            Data and integration: Comfortable working with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, Microsoft 365, and other common data sources.

5.            Environment and deployment: Understands Dev, Test/UAT, and Production environments, solutions, and deployment processes.

6.            Security and access: Familiar with permissions, security roles, licensing, Entra ID, and DLP policies.

7.            Troubleshooting mindset: Able to investigate issues independently, document findings clearly, and identify the right team for escalation.

8.            Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams.

Nice to haves but not critical if it changes the role profile.

9.            AI Builder: Experience with AI Builder, document processing, and AI-powered automation.

10.         Azure integration: Nice to have experience integrating Power Platform with Azure Functions, APIs, and other Azure services.
