Detailed Role Requirements
Regulatory Reporting Testing and Validation
- Execute comprehensive testing of Axiom regulatory reporting solutions by comparing outputs against existing Production processes and End User Computing (EUC) calculations to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed validation of report results, identify variances, conduct root cause analysis, and work with business and technology teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Validate the accuracy of regulatory schedules, line items, calculations, edit checks, and supporting data across multiple reporting cycles.
- Review and challenge business requirements, functional specifications, mapping documents, and testing scenarios to ensure regulatory reporting requirements are fully addressed.
- Develop, execute, and document test strategies, test cases, test scripts, and testing evidence to support SIT, UAT, parallel testing, and production readiness activities.
- Support defect management activities, including defect triage, impact assessment, prioritization, retesting, and validation of remediation efforts.
Regulatory Reporting Knowledge
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Federal Reserve and regulatory reporting requirements, with a primary focus on FR Y-9C and FFIEC 002.
- Interpret regulatory instructions and reporting requirements and translate them into actionable testing and validation scenarios.
- Understand regulatory reporting methodologies, balances, attributes, products, and reporting classifications applicable to banking and financial institutions.
- Assess impacts of regulatory changes, data sourcing updates, and reporting logic modifications on report outputs and downstream reporting processes.
- Ensure reporting results are produced in accordance with regulatory guidance, governance standards, and internal controls.
Axiom and Data Analysis Expertise
- Possess strong hands-on experience with the Axiom regulatory reporting platform, including the ability to investigate report logic, business rules, and calculation methodologies.
- Analyze and drill into Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), mapping documents, and data transformation logic to validate report design and implementation.
- Trace data lineage from source systems through transformations and reporting layers to identify data quality issues and reporting impacts.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of critical regulatory reporting data elements, attributes, reference data, hierarchies, and calculations.
- Perform detailed data analysis using SQL, Excel, reporting extracts, and reconciliation techniques to verify reporting accuracy and identify anomalies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication
- Partner effectively with Regulatory Reporting (FRR), Finance, Technology, EDMO, Data Management, PMO, and external consulting teams to drive testing and implementation activities.
- Lead discussions with stakeholders to explain testing results, reporting impacts, root causes, risks, and remediation plans in a clear and concise manner.
- Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into business-friendly language suitable for executive and senior management audiences.
- Facilitate working sessions, issue resolution meetings, defect reviews, and status updates across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Build strong relationships across business and technology organizations to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project objectives.
