RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a QA Analyst - UI & Data Validation to join their team. This is a remote position.
Summary:
We are seeking a QA Analyst to join a growing Reporting & Analytics team responsible for validating data accuracy, dashboard functionality, and reporting solutions that support critical business operations. This individual will partner closely with Report Developers, Data Engineers, and Product Teams to ensure reporting products deliver accurate, reliable, and user-friendly insights.
The ideal candidate brings experience testing reporting and analytics solutions, validating data through SQL queries, creating comprehensive test cases, and performing both UI and backend data validation. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level QA professional who enjoys working at the intersection of data, analytics, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
* Perform end-to-end testing of reporting and analytics solutions, dashboards, and data-driven applications
* Validate data accuracy between source systems, data warehouses, and reporting platforms
* Execute UI testing to ensure dashboards, reports, filters, calculations, and visualizations function as expected
* Investigate and troubleshoot data discrepancies, identifying root causes and working with Data Engineers and Developers to resolve issues
* Develop, document, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
* Collaborate with Report Developers and Product Teams throughout the software development lifecycle
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
* Track defects, enhancements, and testing activities within Jira
* Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing as required
* Support multiple reporting products while maintaining quality standards and release timelines
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-5 years of Quality Assurance experience supporting reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused applications
* Experience performing both UI testing and backend data validation
* Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and reconciling data
* Experience writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and testing documentation
* Understanding of data warehouse concepts and data flow validation
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Experience using Jira or similar work management tools
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify data quality issues
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience testing Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions
* Experience with Power BI reporting environments
* Exposure to healthcare data, payer systems, EPIC, EZ-CAP, or related healthcare platforms
* Experience testing banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments
* Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipelines, and reporting architectures
Technical Environment:
* SQL

* Power BI (Nice to Have)

* Data Warehousing & Reporting Platforms
* Agile/Scrum Methodology
What Success Looks Like:
* Ensuring dashboard and reporting data is accurate and reconciled across source systems
* Delivering high-quality test coverage through well-documented test cases and execution plans
* Quickly identifying and resolving data integrity and reporting issues before production releases
* Becoming a primary QA resource for one reporting product while providing backup support for additional analytics products
* Enjoys finding data issues, validating complex reporting logic, and ensuring business users can trust the insights generated from enterprise reporting platforms
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
