Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant / SAP SD Lead with 10–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), including end-to-end implementations, system enhancements, migrations, and production support.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, sales order management, pricing, billing, shipping, delivery processing, and customer master data management. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable SAP SD solutions aligned with business requirements and SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP SD implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and support projects.
- Analyze business requirements and design SAP SD solutions to optimize sales and distribution processes.
- Configure and support SAP SD functionalities, including:
- Sales Order Management
- Pricing Procedures and Taxation
- Billing and Invoicing
- Shipping and Delivery Processing
- Credit Management
- Returns and Refunds
- Output Determination
- Customer Master Data Management
- Drive Order-to-Cash (O2C) process improvements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Integrate SAP SD with SAP MM, FI, PP, WM/EWM, and CRM modules.
- Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP developers for custom developments and enhancements.
- Support IDocs, interfaces, EDI, and third-party system integrations.
- Conduct unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Provide post-go-live support and resolve critical production issues within defined SLA timelines.
- Develop functional documentation, process flows, user manuals, and training materials.
- Mentor junior consultants and coordinate with onsite/offshore delivery teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10–12 years of hands-on SAP SD functional consulting experience.
- Experience delivering at least 2–3 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects.
- Strong expertise in SAP SD configuration and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
- Extensive experience with pricing procedures, billing, shipping, delivery processing, and sales configuration.
- Strong integration knowledge of SAP SD with SAP MM, FI, PP, and WM/EWM.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA SD functionalities and implementation best practices.
- Knowledge of IDocs, EDI, interfaces, and third-party system integrations.
- Experience in requirements gathering, functional design, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in onsite/offshore delivery environments.
Required
- SAP SD certification.
- Experience with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), SAP CRM, or SAP Transportation Management (TM).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Domain experience in Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG, or Automotive industries.
- Previous experience in client-facing consulting and solution leadership.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA / PGDM is an added advantage.
