Client is looking for a Salesforce UAT Specialist.
Sr. Test Specialist User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordinator Global Business Transformation
Position Summary
The UAT Coordinator owns the business-side testing cycle for Salesforce releases, making sure that what IT delivers is validated by the people who will actually use it. The role sits between the business process teams, IT delivery, and the business users who serve as testers: it turns process designs and requirements into test scenarios, recruits and trains the tester group, runs the execution window, and reports a clear go or no-go picture back to release decision makers.
This is a coordination and enablement role rather than a technical QA role. Success is measured by test coverage against in-scope requirements, tester readiness and participation, disciplined defect logging, and a defensible readiness recommendation delivered on the release timeline.
Key Responsibilities
-
Test Scenario Design and Preparation Translate process designs, business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into end-to-end UAT scenarios and scripts that reflect how the business actually works, not just how the system is configured. Build and maintain the traceability view that maps each in-scope requirement to the scenarios covering it, and flag coverage gaps to process and IT leads before the test window opens. Define the test data, user profiles, permission sets, and environment prerequisites each scenario needs, and confirm with IT that the sandbox or full-copy environment is ready and refreshed. Maintain a reusable scenario library across releases so regression coverage grows rather than being rebuilt each cycle.
-
Training and Enabling Testers Identify and secure the right business testers with process and functional leaders, confirming coverage across regions, roles, and business segments. Develop and deliver tester onboarding: how to read and execute a scenario, how to record results, what qualifies as a defect versus a change request, and how to use the testing and defect tracking tools. Produce job aids, quick reference guides, and short walkthrough sessions or recordings that let testers work independently through the execution window. Hold office hours and daily check-ins during testing so blocked testers get unblocked the same day.
-
Managing the UAT Cycle Build the UAT plan and schedule against IT release windows, including entry and exit criteria, the execution calendar, and the escalation path for blockers. Assign scenarios to testers, track daily execution progress against plan, and rebalance assignments when participation slips or scope shifts. Run the recurring cadence with process owners, IT counterparts, and release management, keeping a current status, decision, and risk log for the cycle. Hold testers to committed timelines with a light touch, working through their managers where participation needs reinforcement.
-
Defect Management and Readiness Reporting Triage logged defects for validity, severity, and duplication before they reach the IT queue, and shepherd each through retest and closure. Distinguish true defects from process gaps, training gaps, and net-new requirements, routing each to the right owner. Report cycle status in terms decision makers can act on: coverage completed, pass and fail rates, open defects by severity, and residual risk. Deliver the UAT sign-off recommendation, documenting any conditions, workarounds, or deferred items that carry into deployment and hypercare.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience coordinating user acceptance testing for enterprise application releases, including scenario authoring, execution tracking, and defect triage. Working knowledge of Salesforce as a business user or business analyst: standard objects, record types, profiles and permission sets, sandbox behavior, and the practical limits of what can be validated before a release. Demonstrated ability to train and support non-technical business users, including building the job aids and session material yourself. Exp
