Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Master Data Architect / MDM Consultant to design and establish enterprise master data models, semantic layers, and data governance frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM), data architecture, data modeling, SQL, and integrating data across multiple enterprise systems. This role requires excellent communication, technical consulting skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and establish master data models, semantic layers, and enterprise data architectures.

• Define data objects, attributes, relationships, and metadata standards for vendor, contract, and people/security data.

• Establish data survivorship rules to resolve conflicting information across multiple source systems.

• Develop data matching, deduplication, entity resolution, and data consolidation strategies.

• Design and maintain master data models integrating SAP, Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow, and iManage.

• Define and implement golden record architecture using BigQuery.

• Collaborate with data engineers to design and develop automated ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Design data stewardship workflows, screens, and internal tools for reviewing, validating, and correcting master data.

• Partner with engineering teams to translate business and data model requirements into functional solutions.

• Establish data quality standards, governance frameworks, and data ownership policies.

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML for automated record matching and data curation.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Independently manage assigned deliverables, proactively identify issues, and communicate progress.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Semantic Layer/Ontology Design.

• Strong architectural experience designing enterprise master data models and solutions.

• Expert-level SQL skills, including data normalization, schema design, and complex data transformations.

• Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data platforms.

• Strong understanding of entity resolution, data matching, deduplication, and data quality frameworks.

• Proven experience integrating data across enterprise ERP/CRM systems.

• Experience with golden records, data survivorship, and master data governance.

• Experience designing data stewardship workflows, internal data tools, or data curation applications.

• Strong technical consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and collaborate effectively with engineering and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Apache Airflow.

• Experience integrating SAP, Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow, or iManage.

• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion.

• Experience with AI/ML-assisted entity matching and data curation.

• Background in procurement, financial data, or enterprise vendor management.

• Experience in media and entertainment is a plus but not required.
