100% Remote (Must reside in lower 48)
Contract (through end of year) with potential conversion
Overview
We’re seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to help build and support enterprise, cloud-native data solutions in a large Financial Services environment. This role is primarily focused on AWS engineering, cloud data integration, ETL development, and enterprise data platforms.
Experience with Markit EDM (Cadis) and/or Master Data Management (MDM) is a strong plus, but this is not a traditional “Markit EDM Developer” role. Strong AWS-focused data engineers with enterprise integration experience are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and support enterprise AWS data solutions
- Build scalable ETL pipelines and cloud-native integrations
- Develop and support REST APIs for enterprise data platforms
- Create and maintain cloud-based data ingestion and transformation workflows
- Partner with Architecture, Data Engineering, and Business teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize cloud performance
- Support initiatives tied to data quality, governance, and enterprise integration
- Deliver reusable, maintainable solutions using AWS best practices
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- Strong hands-on AWS engineering experience
- Python
- SQL
- ETL development and data integration experience in enterprise environments
- REST API development/integration experience
- AWS services such as:
- AWS Lambda
- AWS Glue
- EventBridge
- Experience building cloud-native applications and supporting production systems
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Markit EDM (Cadis) exposure
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Security Master / Reference Data platforms or concepts
- Snowflake
- Kafka
- C# / .NET
- Financial Services background
- Data governance / enterprise data management concept
