Job Title: Supplier Delivery Consultant - CMM Programming Pay Rate: $60.00-90.00 per hour (fixed weekly rate) Subcontract Employment: 1099 or LLC Location: Based in US, paid travel/deployment Shift: First and Flexible #1099 #AerospaceManufacturing #CMMProgrammer Overview: We are continuously seeking experienced CMM Programmers and Metrology Consultants for project-based contract opportunities across the United States. Our consultants support manufacturing organizations in aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, energy, industrial equipment, and other precision manufacturing environments. This talent pipeline is intended for highly skilled quality and metrology professionals with expertise in coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming, dimensional inspection, GD&T interpretation, process validation, and quality improvement initiatives. Assignments may range from short-term troubleshooting engagements to long-term quality and manufacturing support projects. Typical Responsibilities: * Develop, modify, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using industry-leading software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, PolyWorks, Quartis, or similar platforms. * Create and maintain inspection routines for complex machined, fabricated, molded, and assembled components. * Perform first article inspections (FAI), PPAP support, process validation, and production inspection activities. * Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and GD&T requirements to develop effective inspection strategies. * Troubleshoot CMM programming, measurement, fixturing, and equipment-related issues. * Support manufacturing and quality teams by investigating dimensional nonconformances and implementing corrective actions. * Validate inspection methods and ensure compliance with customer and industry quality requirements. * Utilize portable metrology, scanning technologies, and measurement systems as required by project scope. * Analyze measurement data and provide recommendations to improve product quality and manufacturing performance. * Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams to support project objectives and delivery commitments. * Assist with quality system audits, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: * Minimum 5+ years of experience in CMM programming, metrology, quality engineering, or dimensional inspection within a manufacturing environment. * Proficiency with one or more CMM software packages, including PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, PolyWorks, Quartis, or equivalent. * Experience programming and operating bridge CMMs and other dimensional inspection equipment. * Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection methodologies. * Experience working directly with CAD models and engineering specifications. * Ability to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and inspection process issues. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and integrate effectively with client teams. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, energy, industrial, or other regulated manufacturing environments. * Familiarity with AS9102, PPAP, First Article Inspection, MSA, SPC, and related quality methodologies. * Experience with Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo, Wenzel, Brown & Sharpe, LK, or similar CMM platforms. * Experience with laser scanning, portable CMM arms, structured light scanning, or other advanced metrology technologies. * Quality certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQT, CMQ/OE, or related credentials. * Experience supporting supplier quality, new product introduction, or manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
