Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide dependable technical support for end users in Salinas, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving day-to-day hardware, software, and access issues while delivering responsive customer service. The role focuses on supporting Microsoft Windows environments, handling service desk requests, and keeping employees productive through timely troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
Provide front-line technical assistance for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues reported by end users.
Respond to service desk requests, document work performed, and follow through to ensure problems are fully resolved.
Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 10 and related system issues to restore normal user operations quickly.
Support account access needs, including user setup, password assistance, and permissions work within Active Directory.
Diagnose and resolve basic software, hardware, and connectivity problems using established support procedures.
Escalate more complex incidents when needed and collaborate with other IT team members to reach timely solutions.
Install, configure, and maintain standard workstation applications and system settings in a Windows environment.
Requirements
Hands-on experience supporting desktop users in a help desk or desktop support capacity.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for user account and access support.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and strong experience supporting Windows 10 systems.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting across hardware, software, and user access issues.
Experience managing and updating service desk tickets with clear documentation.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
