Description
We are looking for a Security Technician II to join our team in San Antonio, Texas in a contract role with the potential for a permanent position. This position focuses on supporting and improving access control and physical security environments through hands-on service, troubleshooting, and installation work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with customers, resolving technical issues in the field, and helping maintain reliable security system performance.
Responsibilities:
Deliver on-site service for access control and security systems, including routine maintenance, repairs, and performance checks.
Investigate and correct equipment, software, and network-related issues affecting physical security operations.
Install and set up access control devices, supporting hardware, cabling, and related software components.
Respond to customer support needs with professionalism, providing clear updates and effective technical solutions.
Record completed service work, configuration updates, and diagnostic findings in a thorough and organized manner.
Travel to local client locations to complete planned service visits as well as urgent response calls.
Take part in an after-hours on-call schedule to address critical outages and restore system functionality when needed.
Partner with implementation and project teams on system upgrades, site expansions, and new security deployments.
Requirements
Hands-on experience working with access control, integrated security, or other physical security technologies.
Strong diagnostic ability with a proven track record of resolving technical issues in customer environments.
Background in field service or another client-facing technical support role.
Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, security devices, and associated hardware installation practices.
Ability to travel within the local area to support customer sites as required.
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Familiarity with computer hardware, cable installation, and device support, including environments with Dell Technologies and Apple devices.
Certifications such as Software House Installer/Maintainer, Software House Enterprise, or similar industry credentials are preferred.
