NO C2C OR 1099 APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED ***Our Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and support their Oracle, SQL Server, and Cloud database environments (Snowflake/Azure). This role is responsible for database performance, security, maintenance, disaster recovery, and operational excellence across enterprise systems. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours/weekend support to ensure
continuous coverage.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and support Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Azure database environments.
- Maintain and optimize database performance, availability, security, and reliability.
- Develop, support, and tune SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with BI and development teams on database design and query optimization.
- Implement database patches, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage database security, user access, SOX documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct index, memory, CPU, and storage analysis.
- Support database replication, clustering, and Change Data Capture (CDC) technologies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and licensing inventories.
- Assist with remote database connectivity, infrastructure projects, and technology evaluations.
Qualifications:- 7-10 years of database administration experience.
- Strong expertise in Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Experience with cloud database platforms such as Snowflake and Azure.
- Knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with database performance tuning, replication, clustering, and CDC.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Azure cloud solutions - preferred.
- Exposure to enterprise infrastructure and global IT environments - preferred.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47.86 - $63.24/hr.
