When an interviewer asks whether you have any questions for them, there's only one wrong answer: "No." "Do you have any questions for me?" is a trick question. The interviewer is hoping to learn about you from what you ask, just as you want to learn something by posing a question in the first place. That’s not a bad thing: Every piece of information in an interview—questions, answers, the office/conference room, what kind of drinks they offer and how many—is an opportunity for you to learn more about the company. What kinds of questions should you ask? Follow up on something that was discussed earlier in the interview, or ask for more information about the company's technical processes. Whatever the subject, use this as an opportunity to get a sense of what life is like inside the company.Related Stories
