Engineers looking to pivot their careers into the game industry would be wise to take note of Demetrius Comes. He's an executive director of engineering at Turbine, a division of WB Games. But, perhaps more importantly, he's an engineer who made the transition himself some 12 years ago after working in other sectors for nearly a decade. According to Comes, who spoke to Dice News at GDC, he finds engineers from the outside tend to be more disciplined when it comes to their work, and he loves to hire them.
