Top tech leaders picked the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as the top college in the U.S., according to Business Insider’s fifth annual colleges survey. graduateThe top 10 ranked in order, according to tech professionals, are MIT, Stanford, Harvard, California Institute of Technology, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, West Point, Cornell, and the University of Chicago. Professionals in a variety of industries also picked MITas the top college in the U.S. --making it Number one for the fourth year running. UPenn and Dartmouth fell off the top 10 when selected by tech professionals, replaced by the University of Chicago and West Point. (Numbers 11 and 12, respectively, on the wider list). Tech leaders were 16 percent of the more than 1,000 survey respondents. The colleges were ranked on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. Tuition cost was used as a tiebreaker, with lower costs beating out more expensive schools.
