Role Overview
This position involves the installation, configuration, and administration of software application products. The role includes performing system backups and providing technical support and troubleshooting for software application issues. The specialist will work under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment, handling tasks and assignments as directed. This position is tied to the Starlink project and requires working between two buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform automated imaging of PC equipment.
- Install and remove PC equipment.
- Manage inventory and movement of PC equipment.
- Execute deployment processes using automated tools.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Configure applications such as Outlook and manage IP configurations.
- Perform data migration tasks.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in desktop and laptop support, hardware break-fix, and Apple iOS support is required. This includes a minimum of 2 years of PC migration and deployment experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows 10, Mobile (iOS/Android), and automated imaging tools such as SCCM and Workspace One is necessary. Experience with data migration, Outlook configuration, and IP configuration is also required.
Other Skills: Candidates must possess effective communication, troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills. Strong customer service and interaction skills are essential. The role requires the physical ability to move heavy equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hardware certification from Dell or HP.
- Demonstrated ability for adaptive learning.
Work Environment
The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The candidate must be flexible with work hours, as day or night shifts may be required. This is a fully on-site position in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and no travel is required.
