Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned AWS Admin / Platform Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience administering and engineering AWS environments, with deep expertise in automation, networking, security, and platform reliability at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda) to support enterprise workloads.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) for repeatable, version-controlled provisioning.
Administer IAM policies, roles, and access controls to enforce least-privilege security across accounts.
Design and manage networking components (VPCs, subnets, VPNs, Direct Connect, security groups, load balancers) for secure, reliable connectivity.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment processes.
Monitor platform health, performance, and cost using tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party observability platforms.
Drive cost optimization initiatives through right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, and usage analysis.
Establish and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies across critical systems.
Ensure infrastructure and operations comply with security, regulatory, and organizational governance standards.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for platform incidents, driving resolution and preventive measures.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with development, security, and architecture teams on platform strategy.
Required Skills & Technology:
10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration/engineering, with deep hands-on AWS expertise.
Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
Expertise in AWS networking, security, and IAM best practices.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, EKS/ECS/Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
Hands-on experience with configuration management using Ansible.
Experience with AWS Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) for orchestration.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or similar).
Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, etc.).
Solid grasp of security, compliance, and disaster recovery practices in enterprise cloud environments
