Role: Calypso developer
Location: NYC, NY/ Jersey City, NJ/ Charlotte, NC
Description:
We are seeking a senior engineer to drive platform enhancements, integration capabilities, and production stability initiatives for the Calypso-based ecosystem. This role involves extending Calypso APIs, strengthening platform resilience, and supporting large-scale integrations across partner systems (eg., TDS, Clean PL, and other downstream consumers), while aligning with enterprise architecture and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Enhance the Calypso Front Office and CIRC platform to support:
Complex financial products and pricing models
Trade feed integrations (e.g., CIRC → downstream systems)
PnL, risk, and regulatory reporting workflows
Design and develop robust integrations with internal and external systems, ensuring:
Data consistency across platforms
Scalable and resilient trade processing pipelines
Lead development and implementation of:
Custom tools for operational efficiency, monitoring, and controls
Solutions supporting regulatory initiatives (e.g., Clean PnL, model governance)
Drive platform stability by:
Troubleshooting and resolving critical production and integration issues
Leading Sev1 vulnerability remediation efforts in coordination with security and vendor teams
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, quants, and partner applications to translate evolving requirements into scalable solutions
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming)
Requirements:
Strong experience with Calypso platform (Front Office)
Deep understanding of:
Trade lifecycle, pricing, and risk flows
Integration patterns across financial systems
Experience handling:
Production stability and high-severity incidents
Large-scale, multi-system release coordination
Ability to operate in a high-pressure, release-driven environment with strong risk awareness.
