SQL Database Administrator-Hybrid Work Opportunity
This position requires working in our Charlotte, NC office every Tuesday. We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will:
\t- Handle technical requests submitted by end users of RCH products and systems.
\t- Act quickly to analyze available data and determine root cause of the technical issues.
\t- Installs and configures SQL database setups
\t- Implements database schemas, tables, views, and data objects based on best practices and company design standards
\t- Know and adhere to Enterprise Query Standards
\t- Works closely with the application support specialists and development team to implement data changes following company change management policies
\t- Work closely with the application support team on quarterly releases.
\t- Review and modify queries that are flagged as potentially harmful to production for scalability, availability, and potential efficiency gains
\t- Perform the migration of changes through development life cycle which includes test, stage and UAT environments and deployment into the production environment.
\t- Review new SQL Server features, trace-flag changes, and operational changes prior to SQL version migration or upgrade.
\t- Optimize and tune SQL code using execution plans, system DMVs, and third-party tools
\t- Create, update, and maintain database system diagrams and operation documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
QUALIFICATIONS \t- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
\t- A minimum of 2 years of experience with MS SQL Server administration or combination of education and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
\t- Solid judgment, analytical and problem solution skills to identify and resolve matters of significance
\t- High level of knowledge and adherence to Enterprise Query Standards
\t- High level of knowledge/Experience with T-SQL and PowerShell
\t- Experience evaluating SQL Queries using execution plans, DMVs, Profiler or Extended Events
\t- Professional hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability groups
\t- Experience with Data warehousing and Data warehousing tools is a plus
\t- Experience with WhereScape Red is a plus
\t- Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
\t- Solid judgment, analytical and problem solution skills to identify and resolve matters of significance
\t- Extreme attention to detail
\t- Superior organizational and time management skills
\t- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize workload
\t- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements and requests
Candidates will be tested on the applicable knowledge base for the position.
Pay Range: 92k to 102k annually
