SQL Server Database Administrator - 99% Remote - Long Term contract - Harrisburg, PA - B3383B

Our direct client is looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator for a 99% Remote Long term contract position.(Client in Harrisburg, PA)

Note:
- Client seeks a DBA with 7 years' relevant experience.
- Work hours: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
- Work Location: Remote
- Interview: Preferably in-person but manager may do virtual via Teams. 
- Client would prefer candidates local to the Harrisburg, PA Area.

J0B DESCRIPTION:
- This position is responsible for advanced technical work in all phases of database administration support; development activities (support the application development lifecycle, planning, design, development, implementation, data migration, quality assurance, data cleanup, and data administration) as well as database operations activities (database administration, database security, assuring availability, server and database monitoring, performance monitoring, SQL software installation and configuration, and Service Pack installations).
- Provides Operations support for SQL Database and Database Server administration support for critical production systems.
- Ensures overall health and availability and quality of services
- Perform Health Checks to review the performance of databases to identify and provide recommendations to enhance performance of databases.
- Performs migration and upgrade of SQL Databases from legacy server\SQL Version to new server\SQL Version.
- Performs data migration by designing programs to optimally extract, cleanse, transform and load data between data sources as part of data migration and data validation support. 
- Deploying SQL database solutions within Azure
- Securing Azure SQL resources and data
- Provides Database Design support. 
- Defines, develops, and creates databases by assessing requirements. 
- Meet with developers and vendors to ascertain requirements and to provide consulting assistance to determine the appropriate database configurations.
- Deploy and maintain database schema changes across test and production environments.
- Provide technical support for the PSP Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Power BI environments in collaboration with the Lead Power BI Administrator.
- Deploy, configure, secure, backup, and maintain Azure SQL database solutions.
- Integrate Azure SQL resources with other Azure services to support enterprise applications and data solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure SQL and SQL Server Database performance and availability.
- Support the migration of on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure SQL.
- Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical database models based on business and technical requirements.  Review and validate data models and data dictionaries to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Develop and maintain database structures, including tables, relationships, and normalization, to ensure data integrity, efficiency, and minimize redundancy.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements and recommend appropriate database architectures and configurations.
- Coordinate database backup and restore requests with the backup administration team.

Question 4: This requisition will preferably feature in-person first round interviews. The manager may; however, consider doing first round interviews virtual via Teams.
