Must have Top Secret Clearance:
 
 Work within government-approved software toolsets.
  Evaluate mainframe and distributed data models for migration into consolidated database environments.
  Ensure database revisions, architecture changes, and code modifications do not negatively impact existing database access calls.
  Design, implement, administer, and maintain databases.
  Define users and provide secure and timely data access.
  Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  Minimize downtime and optimize database performance.
  Establish, document, and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards

U.S. Citizenship required.

PostgreSQL administration experience including installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, backup, recovery, and user management. 
   working with relational databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, Db2, and SQL.     Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. 
   database backup/recovery, security, scripting, and automation experience. 
   Knowledge of database modernization, migration, schema conversion, data validation, testing, and troubleshooting. 
   Understanding of database security controls, auditing, encryption, and secure administration practices. 
    Exp working in Agile environments supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and production support. 
   Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
   Ability to perform root cause analysis and work collaboratively with development, infrastructure, and operations teams. 
   Ability to follow operational procedures, runbooks, change-management processes, and escalation procedures.

Security+ certification preferred/required by project guidance.
