The client has a wealth of server-based applications that require backend databases. The primary databases in use are SQL and Oracle. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire support, development and maintenance services for the SQL and Oracle database environments as well as SQL and Oracle Server support. This includes but is not limited to SQL database servers, Oracle database servers, SQL, SQL Server, Maria DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS Access, SQL Cluster environments, Oracle Grid and Oracle RMAN technologies. This support will allow GPO to maintain the functional integrity of the SQL server and SQL Cluster environment and their accompanying applications as well as the Oracle database environment. SQL server is a necessary component in systems that support the business of the GPO to include all business units throughout. It is critical that the subject matter experts (SME s) possess in-depth understanding of SQL, Oracle, SQL Server and SQL Cluster technologies.
SCOPE.
This SOW covers SQL, Oracle, and MS Access database support and development throughout GPO Enterprise. This includes the SQL Cluster and stand-alone SQL and Oracle databases.
Overview & Staffing Requirements: Provide comprehensive database administration, development, and maintenance across On-Premises servers and Cloud environments (including SQL Server, SQL Cluster, Oracle Database, MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, and MS Access). The annual labor-hour assumption is 1,920 hours.
- Vendor Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of corporate experience managing SQL/Oracle DBA teams. Relevant certifications and verified experience across target technologies (SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, OCI, etc.) must be provided for evaluation.
Subtasks & Scope of Work
- Subtask 1: Operations, Monitoring & Issue Triage o Execute daily troubleshooting, system setup, error triage, and configuration for SQL Server and SQL Clusters.
o Manage request lifecycles from submission to closeout within ServiceNow.
o Perform proactive capacity planning and system health monitoring using Idera and SolarWinds.
- Subtask 2: Maintenance & Change Management o Respond to and execute assigned Requests for Changes (RFCs) for ongoing maintenance.
o Resolve related ServiceNow tickets according to operational SLAs.
- Subtask 3: Database & Application Support o Assist users with building and configuring SQL and Oracle databases.
o Troubleshoot database issues (SQL, Oracle, MS Access) and application-level integrations (e.g., SharePoint) related to database support and development
