FHIR Analyst | Healthcare | FHIR Integration Specialist

*Job Description*
We are seeking a highly skilled FHIR Integration Specialist / Healthcare Data Engineer with strong expertise in HL7 FHIR standards, Da Vinci Implementation Guides, and advanced SQL development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with healthcare data interoperability solutions, payer-provider data exchange, and large-scale healthcare databases.
*Key Responsibilities*
Design, develop, and support healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 FHIR standards.
Implement and maintain Da Vinci Implementation Guides such as PDex, CRD, DTR, PAS, and other CMS interoperability initiatives.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and ETL processes for healthcare data analysis and transformation.
Map and transform clinical and claims data into standardized FHIR resources.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, healthcare SMEs, and application teams to define data integration requirements.
Validate FHIR resource structures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform data profiling, data quality assessments, and troubleshooting of interoperability issues.
Support API integrations involving FHIR-based healthcare systems and payer/provider platforms.
Create technical documentation, data mapping specifications, and integration designs.
*Required Qualifications*
5+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, interoperability, or healthcare application development.
Strong expertise with HL7 FHIR R4 resources, profiles, extensions, and implementation guides.
Hands-on experience implementing Da Vinci standards and interoperability frameworks.
Advanced SQL skills, including:
Complex joins and subqueries
Data modeling
Query optimization
Stored procedures
Performance tuning
Experience working with healthcare datasets including:
Claims
Eligibility
Provider
Member
Clinical data
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and healthcare integration technologies.
Understanding of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, X12 EDI, and CMS interoperability mandates.
