Position Summary
We are looking for an autonomous and forward-thinking Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer to lead the secure automation, monitoring, and scaling of our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will integrate traditional security and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while actively using advanced AI development tooling specifically Claude Code and agentic workflows to automate security audits, review infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and streamline incident triage.
Key Responsibilities
- AI-Accelerated DevSecOps: Integrate and utilize AI tools like Claude Code CLI and AWS Agents for DevSecOps to scan source code for vulnerabilities, run penetration tests, query observability logs, and auto-generate secure code patches.
- Cloud Infrastructure & IaC: Architect, deploy, and maintain robust AWS multi-account environments using Terraform or AWS CDK
- Secure CI/CD Pipelines: Build and optimize secure CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) with embedded SAST, SCA, secrets management, and automated policy gates.
- Compliance & Hardening: Enforce AWS security baselines, IAM least-privilege access, KMS encryption, AWS Config rules, and guardrails via AWS Organizations/Control Tower.
- Observability & Incident Response: Configure centralized logging and monitoring (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs) and use conversational AI workflows to rapidly triage production incidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud/DevOps/Platform Engineering with a heavy focus on AWS.
- AI-Assisted Development: Proven, hands-on experience using Claude-code or similar agentic AI developer tools to accelerate operational and coding tasks.
- AWS Core Services: Deep practical knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, compute (ECS/EKS), storage, and security primitives.
- Infrastructure as Code: Expert proficiency in Terraform and/or AWS CDK, focusing on modular, reusable, and secure patterns.
- DevSecOps Tooling: Practical background in vulnerability management, container security, SAST/DAST integration, and pipeline automation.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- AWS Certified Security Specialty or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
- Experience building custom AI agent loops or markdown-based agent skills for specialized DevOps tasks.
- Background in SRE methodologies, error budgeting, and chaos engineering.
