Job Description
We are seeking a Product Owner / Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in banking and payments domains, Agile product ownership, backlog management, and data platforms and a proven ability to translate business needs into actionable user stories, optimize team value delivery, and drive successful product releases.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the team backlog for assigned products in partnership with stakeholders.
- Continuously refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.
- Coordinate external team dependencies with the team, Scrum Master, and other Product Owners.
- Act as the primary contact for product questions and work performed by the team.
- Optimize the value of the team's work and ensure successful product releases with key stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in banking/financial services with strong knowledge of payments.
- 7+ years as a Product Owner on Agile teams with requirements gathering experience.
- SAFe Agilist certification or equivalent knowledge.
- 7+ years with Jira and Agile routines; 5+ years with Confluence.
- 5+ years with SQL and databases; expert knowledge of Oracle/Exadata and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills across varied stakeholder levels.
- Ability to design systems with limited direction and apply analytical and logical skills.
- Proven partnership with technology and business to implement solutions.
- Knowledge of project life cycle, data warehousing, dimensional data modeling, and ETL processing concepts.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in large financial organizations.
- Familiarity with Hadoop or big data ecosystems.
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
