IDR is seeking a Business Strategy Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Houston, TX. This role involves analyzing business performance, developing reporting solutions, and identifying strategic opportunities to support operational and organizational goals within a dynamic energy industry environment. The analyst will contribute to improving business outcomes through data-driven insights, process improvements, and strategic planning.

Position Overview for the Business Strategy Analyst:

The Strategy & Analytics Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business performance, developing reporting solutions, identifying strategic opportunities, and providing actionable insights to support operational and organizational goals.
This role combines business analytics, process improvement, and strategic planning to help leadership make data-driven decisions and improve business outcomes.
The Analyst will work with the Manager of Credit Operations to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, and recommending strategies that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
In addition, the analyst will support various platforms to improve reporting and updates to support the business.
The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to improve performance and streamline processes, as well as identifying cost efficiencies and process improvements.

Requirements for the Business Strategy Analyst:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
3+ years of experience in business analysis, performance management, strategy, analytics, or process improvement
3+ years of retail energy experience
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Viso, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
2+ years using Microsoft SQL Server or Power BI, with the ability to read/write scripts or build visuals
