Summary

SQL Server Administrator (Mid-Level)

📍 Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Locals only
💼 Duration: Contract

We are looking for a Mid-Level SQL Server Administrator to support the migration of SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022/2025. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, upgrades, migrations, backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

5+ years of SQL Server Administration experience
Experience migrating SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022/2025
SQL Server installation, configuration, and upgrades
Database backup, restore, and recovery
Performance tuning and optimization
SQL Server security, user management, and permissions
Troubleshooting SQL Server issues
Experience with High Availability/Disaster Recovery (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication) is a plus
Strong T-SQL knowledge
Experience working in Windows Server environments

Preferred Skills:

Experience with PowerShell scripting
Azure SQL experience is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
