Job Description

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) is seeking a Senior .NET/Azure Full Stack Engineer to lead the modernization of a mission-critical statewide licensing and eligibility platform. This role focuses on transitioning legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET and Azure architectures, developing scalable APIs, and delivering React-based user experiences.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional .NET development experience (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API).

• Hands-on experience migrating legacy ASP.NET applications to .NET 6/7/8/10.

• Strong SQL Server, stored procedures, and T-SQL performance tuning experience.

• Hands-on Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and deployment pipelines.

• 5+ years of Agile development experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub.

• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Strong troubleshooting, architecture, and independent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• React development experience.

• Power BI and SSRS reporting.

• Government, healthcare, or public-sector application experience.

• Azure AI / Agentic AI integration experience.

• Boomi or MuleSoft middleware experience.

• ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility knowledge.

• Experience working with PII and secure applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience
