This team is working on External user-facing products/programs – Both New and redesign of legacy applications into modern AWS based React/ Node applications. Most dev teams work in a poly skilled manner working on automation and improving frameworks for testing in addition to core development. The hiring manager is looking for highly motivated senior engineers with solid communication skills that can operate with minimal guidance. Someone that can hit the ground running and is comfortable engaging with their teams remotely.

(verification of ID/must be on computer audio - video) Initial .5 video session followed by a tech panel, (est. 1.5 hours tech/team w/white boarding video - remote onboarding - verification - remote start. log in at 8:45 for orientation & 9am start time)

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, candidate will be responsible for complex software development including coding, managing small sections of ongoing projects and closely adhering to deadlines. Candidate will also take responsibility for creating design specifications, unit testing, and preparing technical documentation. Candidate will ensure relationships with customers and cross-team members are professional and meet expectations.
The organization manages a complex and comprehensive suite of data systems, data feeds and reports to support students and educators across multiple assessments, programs and services. Working within the Information Technology division and across the Operations and key business units, the Senior Full Stack Engineer will analyze procedures, and design and implement solutions to attain high data quality and process automation. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will design, develop and implement solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization’s goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have designed, developed and implemented serverless software solutions in support of data quality and automation. The candidate will also possess technical skills and experience in the data management domain that will help their ability to design and develop elegant and efficient data processes and systems.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience building full-stack applications with Node.js and React.js in a cloud environment
- Deep working knowledge of AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, RDS)
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Design and development experience building and monitoring microservices
- Hands-on CI/CD experience (Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline)
- Strong fundamentals in OO design and computer science principles
- Working knowledge of distributed architectural design patterns
- Knowledge of systems analysis/design (OOAD, UML) and database design
- Solid grasp of SDLC and modern software engineering practices
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with event-driven architecture and stream processing patterns
- Exposure to agentic AI / LLM-based tooling (e.g. Claude, Copilot, LangChain, or similar) for development acceleration or automation
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation, CDK, or similar)
- Fluency with KMS, ALB/ELB, Route 53, VPC
- Experience with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows
- Background in high-frequency data monitoring or tooling
- Agile/Scrum team experience with a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Additional language exposure (Java, Python) is a bonus, not a substitute for React/Node depth
- Relevant AWS or professional certifications
